The Arina Quest Center, Inc. (AQC) was founded in 2001 as an educational, charitable, and service organization to help people grow and move forward in their lives. The founders envisioned an organization that would pursue the following goals:
Life Nurturing Network and Free Clinics for Complementary Therapies
Beginning in 2001, the Arina Quest Center (AQC) hosted conferences and Free Clinics for Complementary Therapies at a farm outside Morgantown, WV. The founders invited a number of holistics healters to be a part of the first Free Clinic, and a focus group was formed that helped plan, organize, and conduct the first clinic. The clinics grew in popularity and began to spread. Free clinics migrated to other areas of West Virginia and Maryland. Today, the AQC maintains offices in Morgantown and Friendsville, Md. The most recent clinic took place in Maryland at the Natural Food Store in Friendsville, where the AQC has established a gift shop and conference center.
As the Free Clinics grew, so did the network of service providers, many of whom will be listed on this website for your information and benefit.
The AQC maintains offices in West Virginia and Maryland. Both sites conduct Free Clinics and/or Reiki shares.
The Arina Quest Center's Life Assistance Program
Originally, the Arina Quest Center's Life Assistance Program offered a one-time assistance package to single mothers who needed financial and personal support. The first client was accepted into the program in July 2005 -- a single mother of two children in an abusive and potentially dangerous situation. Since then we have helped not only single mothers, but also men, women, and children of various ages. At this time, we are not accepting any new clients into the program.
Windra's Gift Shop
Our new gift shop, located at 132 Walnut Street, Friendsville, Md., opened for business in February 2008. The shop offers unique treasures such as crystals and gems from around the world as well as Feng Shui objects and materials that act as space-balancers and harmonious healing aids. We also acknowledge the ancient Cherokee wisdom of right placement. The Cherokee practitioner understood the healing influence of objects and materials when placed in appropriate areas of an environment.
The Educational Outreach Programs of the Arina Quest Center
The Arina Quest Center's outreach programs aim to serve the public by offering focus groups, workshops, seminars, support groups, and conferences that help people move forward in their lives. We sponsor personal growth and healing processes that help individuals, groups, and communities learn to solve problems creatively, change old habits, explore new and better possibilities for growth and balance, build new life skills, and create well-being spiritually and physically.
Leigh Clements, executive director of the Arina Quest Center, offers personal focus sessions that help individuals find spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical balance while moving through intense change or crisis. He offers a free consultation to anyone interested in exploring the creative ways to well-being.
